The pure gift of being introduced to Donna to begin learning my passion of singing has taken me far beyond what I thought I was capable of. I started singing with Donna age 17 and now aged 33 still consider her to be my closest mentor and highly regard her as one of Perth best vocal teachers. Not only did Donna's skills and wisdom provide me with the technical vocal tools I needed to persue a successful career in singing, she also taught me self confidence, how to embrace my uniqueness and how to make the most of it to incorporate it into what I wanted to do to enable me to live my dreams and passions as a successful singer.

Donna’s Studio has been an incredible move for our daughter.

Indigo has been with Donna for nearly 2 years, in which time Indigo’s vocal technique has improved immensely. Donna has taken Indigo on a journey of finding her voice and who she is as a singer/performer.

Indigo improves weekly and she and her voice has gone from strength to strength.

My name is Sophie Wilkinson, I'm 14 years old and I've been with Donna for around 18 months now. Through these amazing months I have learnt so much more than I ever dreamed about, not only my voice as an instrument but the deeper connection of music.

My name is Kane Parker and I began singing with Donna back in 2013. At the time I had just begun a Bachelor of Arts at Curtin University, Double Majoring in Performance Studies and Creative Writing, having graduated from Hale School the year before.

I was actually introduced to Donna years prior by her mother, who had been my drama teacher since roughly age 9 and whose inspired lessons and loving support became one of the main reasons behind my decision to pursue a career in acting.

Coming out of high school I wanted to complement my acting by improving my then limited singing and dancing skills, so naturally I turned to Donna. Needless to say it was one of the best decisions I have made, both personally and professionally.

Initially I had no intention to sing when I embarked on my journey with OVT. I felt I had lost my confidence and was experiencing a lot of tension in my throat.

In the first few sessions I was encouraged that It was safe to let go of my fears around being really heard & allow my true voice to come through. As this journey with Donna continued so did my confidence and since then, the transformation in my life has been remarkable. 

I am more confident in speaking my truth and communication feels less anxious. This has helped me enjoy and excel in my corporate work and social arena. 

I have even joined a choir because singing and connecting to my voice makes me so happy.

When I went to Donna’s Studio, I wanted to learn how to sing. I’ve been playing in bands and as a singer song writer for over 30years. However, I have never been comfortable with my voice.

What I gained at Donna’s studio was I learned how to control my breathing, I took control of my voice; I was given warm-ups and exercises to get the best out of my voice. I gained real confidence about what I could achieve vocally. I learned a lot about vocal technique and always left the lessons feeling lighter, happier and confident in my abilities.

I first came to know Donna through the personal recommendation of one of her clients and I signed on for Donnas’ singing lessons as a means of challenging myself and finding my own voice as opposed to mimicking the voices of others.

My experience as a student of Donna, ranged from a deep sense of connection through musical expression to a roller coaster of emotions, as learning to express myself through song challenged me in many ways.
